[開箱] Asus TUF Pro BE6500 WiFi 7 China

如前文所述，我的 AX86U Zaku 在使用 3 年多後完全報銷了 因此我換成了 TUF Pro BE6500 WiFi 7 (不含 6GHz) 中國版。

與其重複眾多評測的常見資訊, 我只想分享一些我在設置使用幾小時後的觀察。

開機時會彈出簡體中文的最終用戶許可協議 (EULA), 然後是隱私協議, 此時仍無法切換至英文。這些協議大致與 Asus Router app 相似, 唯一不同的是Android app 提到了 Google Firebase SDK, 而路由器 firmware 則提到了百度雲 SDK。僅在接受兩份協議後, 才能切換至英文界面。

沒有 Instant Guard VPN。選單上只有 WireGuard、IPsec、OpenVPN 和 PPTP。

僅有兩個可選的 WiFi 區域設置 - 中國(預設)和澳大利亞。

我看到一篇評測提到無法在啟用 MLO 的情況下使用 2.4GHz IoT 網絡, 但我的格力 WiFi 空調 (802.11b/g)卻可以正常工作。啟用 MLO 會自動強制執行某些 WiFi 設置和 Smart Connect。

修改 WiFi / MLO 設置並等待 setting applied 後, Web UI 仍會暫時 hang。

由於我沒有 2.5G 網絡設備, 更沒有 2.5Gbps 的寬頻, 所以無法測試其性能。以下是從 CMHK (租 HKBN)  1000M 寬頻到 小米 14 (HK 1.0.11.0.UNCMIXM) 的約 20 次 WiFi 7 測試中的最佳結果:

Rather than repeating the common info from the various reviews, I'll just say a few things that I observed after setting it up for a few hours.

It boots up with a prompt for accepting End User License Agreement in simplified Chinese only.  Then it prompts for privacy agreement, again in simplified Chinese only.  At this time it still cannot be set to English.  The agreements are mostly similar to the Asus router app, with one special difference.   The Android app mentions Google Firebase SDK, but the router firmware mentions Baidu Cloud SDK.  Only after accepting the two agreements can it be switched to English language.  There is no other language that can be chosen.

There is no Instant Guard VPN.  The menu only lists WireGuard, IPsec, OpenVPN, PPTP.

There are only two possible WiFi region settings - China (default) and Australia.

I read a review about not being able to get IoT network 2.4GHz to work with MLO enabled - but this works for me with my Gree WiFi air conditioner (802.11b/g).  Note that enabling MLO automatically forces some WiFi settings and Smart Connect.

After changing some WiFi / MLO settings and waiting for it to be applied and the web UI shows up again, the UI still hangs for a little while.

I have no 2.5G network equipment let alone 2.5Gbps internet, so I cannot measure how well it works.  This is the best result of about 20 WiFi 7 test runs from CMHK (rented from HKBN) 1000M broadband to Xiaomi 14 (HK global 1.0.11.0.UNCMIXM):

Instant Guard VPN 其實都係 IPsec VPN.     我用開 IPsec VPN,  係手機貪得意裝 Instant Guard APP, 佢會 override 佐 原本 手機裡面 IPsec VPN 既SETTINGS.

剛剛好ASUS 呢隻ROUTER 都係用一樣 高通 IPQ5322 晶片.......
唔通係粒CPU 通病........ 見到你咁樣, 我都唔敢買啦

你試下將BT 速度降低, 睇下仲會唔會出事.......

呢個肯定唔會
IPQ5322雖然在高通lineup屬low end系列, 但呢d基本野, 內部一定有流量測試。

市場上用IPQ5322的至少還有6款機，由300蚊到3000蚊。
Ubiquiti UXG Max及U7 Pro都係行IPQ5322, 強制一套兩粒IPQ5322就三千幾 Zyxel NWA130BE都係獨立拆AP出來。
仲有普聯7DR6560。
要比Asus平一半的IPQ5322有京東雲BE6500, 折實RMB300。


你留意一下7DR6560個acwifi評測，佢下方有實線4 ports back pane 的IxChariot benchmark，極有意思。四pairs real time LAN to LAN過100MByte。個USXGMII剦到得5Gb full duplex

The Multi-link Operation feature require a WiFi 7 capable device. Firmware support for Multi-link Operation (MLO) is in development and will be released in late 2023 or early 2024.
