Also the way the system is developed... still relies on a bunch of guinea pigs to test for bugs etc. etc.

I simply can't believe many casual users would fall for w10 because of superficial aesthetics (eg. similar-looking GUI vs. w7) and "new" features, while disregarding overall system integrity, stability, and legacy support

Unless Micro$uck makes radical changes to w10 that bring its gap closer to w7, I don't see how this OS is going to survive in the long run...
At least, those power users with a bit of 良知 would still avoid it at all costs

but why don't you (guys) just disable the  updates via policy editor (google it), and when a major major stable update comes out, only then update the system.  That's what I do...

You can do such "manual" troubleshooting but those temporary solutions shouldn't have even existed in the first place...

Besides, every time a new w10 build is installed, everything reverts to default and you'll have to do those steps all over and over again

Something even as simple as resuming Control Panel option in x-Win menu... why Micro$uck has to make it so hard for everybody??

Simply put, anyone who needs to survive Winblowz10 OS'sphere the only versions that one could work with without inflicting too much pain would be Enterprise version (LTSB?) or even higher

See here's the thing
In the past, a consumer was often advised against getting spare hardware parts for PC builds (due to rapid change in technology which supposedly makes older-spec ones obsolete), so when one gets an MB one often does not get an extra one just in case...
But now, it seems that many have regretted NOT doing just that......

The whole PC scenario has changed.  It's not really about getting the newest, baddest and fastest hardware or such, but instead overall stability and legacy compatibility when you need it......
After all, this is what most IT's have been adopting (but the sick general consumer population never really buys it)

You know why business in 新高登 is good (or, doable if not sustainable)?  Because there will be more and more ppl who need to look for older (or older-spec) hardware for stable (if not very fast) PC builds while running on a more trusted OS (eg. w7)

If Micro$uck thinks w10 means progress, well... it's more like backtracking with more woes
