(i) Do I need to buy a SF8087 to SF8087 cable to connect the LSI 9270 to the Intel RES2SV240? In this way, I can still make use of the remaining SF8087 port of my raid card to connect 4 SATA drives and connect the other SATA drives to the SF8087 ports of the Intel expander (via appropriate cables), right? or
(ii) Connect the Intel expander with the LSI raid card by 2 SF8087 to SF8087 cables (using two ports of EACH card/expander) and connect up to 16 SATA drives? Any speed difference between the setup of (i) and (ii)?
(iii) My CacheCade Pro 2.0 could still work in both setup?
(iv) What kind of cables are included in the Intel RES2SV240 box?
Thanks in advance. |
