I just checked... looks like you will get win7 in Italian language...

Q: What are the possible scenarios for the installation of Windows® 7 on Windows VISTA® units?
A: These are the possible scenarios:

    * From 32-bit Windows Vista® Home Premium to 32-bit Windows ® 7 Home Premium
    * From 64-bit Windows Vista® Home Premium to 64-bit Windows ® 7 Home Premium
    * From 32-bit Windows Vista® Business to 32-bit Windows ® 7 Professional
    * From 64-bit Windows Vista® Business to 64-bit Windows ® 7 Professional
    * From 32-bit Windows Vista® Ultimate to 32-bit Windows ® 7 Ultimate
    * From 64-bit Windows Vista® Ultimate to 64-bit Windows ® 7 Ultimate

Cross-language transition is not supported: you can only install the language version of Windows® 7 corresponding to the factory-installed language version of Windows VISTA®: e.g. English to English, German to German and so forth.

That will be nightmare!!!

I think the product code tells which language of the current Vista and they will send you the corresponding language win7 upgrade disc.

I doubt. They charge my card already. And the office is from Edinburgh. I don't think they will have a lot of Italian Language disc in the UK to be honest.

So when you upgrade ur computer, did you come across a point that the system asked you to select a langauge or something?

TOP

Nope... I did a clean install and the system did not ask me to select a language because the disc is in English. But i suspect its a different story if you choose to upgrade.

Anyway, fingers crossed and thanks for the info.

hopefully mouseman will let us know soon. Need to sleep now
