i use corz checksum to calculate .md5 for each file individually.

i cant think a better way.

What is the data size (no. of files and avg file size) of your backup?  And how long does it take to complete the checksum?

btw, MS has a rather old and unsupported FCIV (File Checksum Integrity Verifier) tool.

上年copy回hdd
只係死左6隻
死因係比太陽哂死 ...

hmm, how come you did not upgrade those IDE hdds ... to much higher capacity SATA ones ?

ps.  I have already 'destroyed' all IDE hdds (very small capacity) ... long long time ago
