Can't tell.  May be it's QC matter.  Or some kind of cargo damage (of specific batch) during transportation.

I've numerous MG hdds (MG04 to MG08-D) ... without any issue.

Btw, the model we're talking about is MG08 16TB.  And your link is showing MG08-D (to replace MG05/MG06; max. size is 8TB only)

MG08 is for sure enterprise grade

The MG08-D is also enterprise grade, but it should be a bit lower (in grading) than MG08.  I've a MG08-D 4TB for MagicTV recording.

可以買18TB, 但暫時個volume只會用到16TB
將來你另外個drive 都換埋18TB+時可以expand volume 用足18TB
