Clone the OS Disk to another SSD and keep it separately. In case of necessity, then replace the corrupted OS disk with this cloned/backup SSD. Simple.
For the HDD with photos, just use FreeFileSyn to back up the whole HDD to another HDD (preferably backup to 2 HDDs), and put them in two separate locations.

for os disk, I use macrium reflect free to create system image files (of course to another hdd) at regular time frame.
freefilesync (mirror mode with verify on) is great! I use it for daily backup from nas to nas (and also to external hdd), multiple copies.
The requirement of using this approach is, we're willing to buy lots of hdds. |
