For 3HK, I think 'technically' it works.  However, contract renewal staff told me NOT to put the sim onto device like ipad, pocket wifi, router, etc.  It 'should be' used on mobile phones only.

ps.  Technically, they will know what kind of device the sim was being used on.

More info for sharing :
2 (to 3) years ago when I switched from csl to 3hk, the Sales person has already told me not to put the sim on ipad.  However, it was just a kind of 'not recommended'.   He also said that 3hk might induce some kind of 'extra fee' for non-tablet sim plans being used on tablets.  Anyway, recently reconfirmed with CS, no such 'extra fee' is there yet, at least for the time being.
