遊泰國注意！12月起 當地買SIM卡須面部掃描 胡慧冲提醒3大注意事項

報道指泰國將於12月15日起，收緊售賣手機SIM卡的，無得上網咁大件事，遊客應否先在香港買定SIM卡才出發呢？泰國通胡慧冲（Roger）忠告，鴨寮街SIM卡有可能失效。

胡慧冲：恐鴨寮街SIM卡未必通用由於此措施包括遊客，以後一落機在機場出卡，除了實名用護照登記，也要提供指紋或面容資料影張相，估計等候開卡時間會增長。泰國通胡慧冲指，現時不少港人會在鴨寮街或香港的電訊店預購SIM卡，這些已經流通市面的SIM卡或許在12月15日後用唔到，建議抵達泰國時在當地開卡購買。

SIM卡貨量或短暫不足另外Roger指出，昨日消息一出，立即有網友詢問他，說昨日在曼谷多間商場內的True、AIS電訊商買SIM卡都買不到，懷疑與新措施有關。不過Roger大派定心丸，因為SIM卡此等日常通訊用品絕不會禁止購買，可能只是新例下暫有不夠貨情況，而且面容資料即是影張相存檔，入境時候也要，故此不用為此而驚恐。

With effect from the 15 December, buying a new mobile telephone SIM card in Thailand is going to require the purchaser to give their biometric details. The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) says the checks will come in the form of digital scans of fingerprints or faces.

The NBTC says it will distribute the requisite scanners to SIM card retail outlets ahead of the implementation date. The NBTC has not yet confirmed when or whether pre-existing users of SIM cards will have to re-register their personal biometric details or not.
