I have played 2 Japanese hybrids, and 2 German hybrids.
Both German are PHEVs.

Toyota Camry: Quoted $22,650, changed.
Japanese Hybrid: Quoted $8480 x 12 blades + labour, scrapped.
German PHEV: Quoted $15,000 x 6 modules + labour, scrapped.
German PHEV: Quoted $218,xxx, scrapped.

冇錯，熟充電嘅就會知phev充電係困難過純電動車好多。
歐洲日本phev冇快充已經係一個大問題，中充本身係預長時間充，到你真係能夠長時間泊底充電時，你就會羨慕純電動車可充到幾百公里，而你phev就算充過夜都係得幾十公里，完全唔化算。
中國式phev就好啲有快充，但因為電池細，所以充電速度唔高，一樣時間下，純電動車充到幾百公里，phev都係得幾十。
另外衰退問題，phev電池細，所以永遠都會用上所有電池，衰退會快過大電池。

所以如果你怕充電，phev只會令你更加怕，選擇普通混能車算啦

All you said, are exactly what happened to me. You seem to know about HEV cars very well.

Assume Lithium Battery have 500 cycles.
I pretty much use up all 500 cycles in 2-3 years.

And German dont know about BMS they just let the battery stay flat after use up to make the mpg figures look best.
If you force the engine to charge battery, the car become sluggish and fuel economy go 2x more than usual.
