諗下點解新硬件突然間唔支援WIN 7?

Historically, Microsoft has developed drivers to support all new CPUs until that OS reaches end of life.  January 2016, Microsoft announced that they would only create Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 device drivers to temporarily support Intel's newest CPU through July 2017, instead of the 2020+ end of life date.  After that, Microsoft customers have to upgrade their Skylake PCs to maintain Windows 10 compatibility and to continue receiving support and Windows updates.

In response to an outcry from the Enterprise IT community, Microsoft has revised this statement a few weeks later, announcing that Skylake PCs running Windows 7/8.1 would continue to receive support through July 2018, and critical security updates through the 2020 +End of Life.  BUT anything newer than Skylake will still be unsupported for Windows 7/8.1.  Businesses that want to use Intel’s next generation hardware (coming H2 2016) will have to run Windows 10.

All this means that that even though Windows 7/8.1 are supported through at least 2020, they’re really only supported through 2020 if running on Intel hardware older than ‘Skylake’.  Any newly purchased hardware will have to run Windows 10.

其實win10每6個月一次大升級真係太密

完全同意, Android同iOS都只係一年大升一次, 雖然電話銷量多, 但硬件組合應該唔夠電腦多, 引發的問題一定比電腦少(但都只係一年大升一次), 我唔知點解佢咁有膽一年大升兩次!

過多幾年又要死死地氣轉返win 10

我需要換新機，部舊機死下死下。但我絕對頂唔順 Windows10，
單係中文輸入總跟住白色一格遮住晒，就已經唔 ...
畀錢買機幫自己工作啫，點解咁玩我呀？微軟對收集資料真係咁大野心？

資料=$$$, 可以講呢間公司已經去到貪婪的地步, Android一樣不停收集資料, 但Android係免費既, 反觀win10係免費一年, 但一年後回復收費, 無論對一般用家定係廠機都係, 可是一樣不停收集資料...

我玩, stream, Uplay, Origin 系列...你係咪 clean install?

電腦係要黎用, 如果一直要半年clean install一次(因為win10半年一次更新)先會順既話會唔會太煩呢?

You're wrong!!  I updated from 1607 -> 1803 last week, it kept my policy settings I previously set ...

新產品不一定好，但通常都有其可取之處，每個人用 windows 既目的都唔同，所以優缺點都唔會一樣，很多覺得  ...

所以講時代係不斷進步的不如講好大原因只係商業決定...

好明顯唔會發生
因為消費者冇得揀
生產商/開發商出D乜, 消費者只有硬食 ...

好多一般人連咩係win7/win10都唔知道, 所以連有無其他選擇都唔知

Windows 10 單係啲 Explorer 更新, Task View, 改良嘅 multi monitor 支援已經提高生產力

巴打 用邊個 linux 呀？

我最近win7， vm試用 ubuntu，發覺幾好，若果一般用途，冇得挑剔。
不過我會 edit 相和片， linux 唔支援 啲軟件。。。
