先利申，有兩隻850 pro 公司用緊，一隻850 evo 幫人出機用。

先唔理TLC 定 MLC, 我只可以話仲有好多因數影響掉唔掉速，如controller, firmware, user habit and etc.

連續500GB write 兩次，都唔係real world usage 啦，掉不掉速我覺得已無關系，正常當OS drive 用應該都會定期trim, 再加上都唔會係seq write 啦。

benchmark 都係數字，大家鐘意買咩牌子自己喜好。

我自己係相信Samsung 的3D NAND tech, 見到外國的endurance test 結果實在太勁，唔係我地之前理解TLC MLC 的分別咁簡單。

講真香港買Samsung 係唔太抵，保養係一個主要因素。

香港的確少人用Samsung ssd, 但係850 evo 同pro 外國一致好評，一年後都無乜負評，所以先敢入手。

所以佢粉絲當魚翅價賣先係少人買嘅主要原因,如果佢TLC賣得平過MLC冇人會有嘢講.

但實情係年頭intel 730行貨跟外國跌價個陣,佢個價都仲係企硬,係呢幾個月個價先至叫做諗得過.

利申:desktop用緊intel 730 480G,laptop近排新裝samsung 850pro 512G.

    That is true. 840evo problem is really big.

But now, some people simply can't accept the possibility that so called TLC samsung SSD can be faster (real world usage) and provide longer endurance.

While those affordable brands SSD have their own problem, firmware, controller, inconsistent performance and etc. So like buying harddisk, luck is a factor. Like people say seagate dm001 is nightmare, but I have more than 6 running without issue (not on RAID5) and I am scared by the reports too.

Anyway, it is just an SSD, you will buy a larger and faster one in 2-3 years anyway.

I am already tempted to try intel/samsung NVME, the 4k performance improvement is big, and that you can feel in real world usage (not seq write).

如果係用大眾用家呢? 何解要比一樣的錢, 買一樣未經驗証的 new tech? 信一個 500G write test?

最重要係同樣價錢有大把穩陣, 技術成熟的選擇喎, 而家唔係 2-bit MLC 已絕種或天價, 迫緊大家買 TLC. 為咩要自己鐘個頭埋去比錢幫廠做白老鼠?

i simply disregard this 500GB seq write test, it means nothing to me.
But still, I don't see much problem buying 850 series now, for about a year, seems to have less issues than most other brands.

Maybe I should say, you should disregard whether the SSD is MLC or TLC. A good SSD is a good SSD, that's all.

我唔阻止人買 TLC, 但我 100% 唔會用同一舊錢買 TLC
