About C L glasses ...
I had the 1st generation C 24-105 F4 L in 2006 !
1st copy was very bad, image distorted (especially at the tele-end)
2nd copy was okay.
Then there was a huge price drop in less than a year !
The price drop story continues ... after being sold as a kit lens
Not interested in C high-end (so-called) expensive lenses ... anymore

In contrast, a N high-end nano lens sold at, let say $10K 5 yrs ago, today we would still see the $10k (or even higher) price tag (of course the factor of inflation is ignored).

ps. Due to various C issues, switched to N in 2008/2009 ...
