I don't know that different between the process, but the student version does since that my experience (this month). May be your tutor using the volumn license.... which is having the serial no. provided.. ( I just guess).

I think you are right as your CS4 has been bought for several days only that the procedure should be up-to-date.

Yes, I go through those procedure recently.

Oh! for the CS4 Edu version.... I got a problem.... I ordered the Chinese Version. But during installation, they must use the serial no. in English (int)... but then, when I change to Chinese (cause I think I can do some Chinese way arrangement)... they request other serial no....

After check with the Adobe support.. they replied that the edu version... only have the English version...
If this is the case... how come the box is in Chinese and the program offered options to select Chinese or English version???

I have no idea because I haven’t made my purchase yet. Go ahead to ask your tutor then tell me why this happens.

I've no tutor. I just buy it for myself, not for work not for study. Anyway, I'm checking with  Adobe what's going on!
