USB 2.0 has a maximum throughput of 480 Mbps, and a practical constant rate of about ½ that. If you want to make sure there’s no frame drops, then you’d halve that again — 120 Mbps. So, if the bit rate of the video is 120 Mbps or less, no problem. If the bit rate is 120–240 Mbps, there might be the odd frame drop. Over 240 Mbps, it’s almost certain there will be frame drops. If the bitrate of the video is close to 480 Mbps, it would requiring buffering.
For reference, YouTube 4K is about 40 Mbps, BluRay Ultra HD (4K UHD) is up to 128 Mbps, a typical 4K camcorder is generally around 100 Mbps.
