I bought 2 hAP ac to test site to site VPN using openvpn, hoping to replace a pfsense appliance, but found that the implementation in RouterOS does not support UDP openvpn tunnels which gives me the best throughput.  So now they are just APs.  Decent performance as APs, and PoE is a definite plus.

Have you considered to build a site-to-site network using IPSec instead of OpenVPN? Hardware-based encryption for IPSec VPN is provided by the captioned model.
