终于知道怎样用iperf3作测试hAP ac^2了。

In the following results, we can measure how good/bad of the wired/wireless link using the 5-minute iperf3 download test.

Whenever you read the subsequent listings, please put your concentration on i) Bandwidth and ii) Retr value. In general RouterOS without WiFi works very well as seen in Retr value in Listings 1 and 9. Listing 5 shows the stock item of hAP ac^2's 5G performance. The average download speed is only 16.2Mbps, which has been reported by many MikroTik users. However the packet retry count is 3541 over 5-minute period of time. It is extremely high and unacceptable. When we compare the results in Listing 5 (5G) and Listing 6 (2.4G), the 5G ac download speed is lower than that of 2.4G. Even though MikroTik provided an RC version of firmware v6.4rc56 (up to this moment of writing), the WiFi performance is still unacceptable. Also the packet retry rate for the 5G WiFi was almost doubled as shown in Figure 7. It is 7390 counts over 5 minutes of time. It indicates that over 20 retries over 1 second of time.

Already described in the text.

There are more results on other model of R951G-2HhD.

The Retr count is very high for wired connection, it is 1358. It is unacceptable for wired connection. However the Retr count for 2.4G connection is only 408, which is normal for wireless connection.

在上面的LInk的Listing 9,显示出hAP ac^2的Routing不错!因为我的系统最大也就是1Gbps,所以它下载速度能达1Gagibits是没有问题的,特别是Retr(Packet Retry Count)是zero,说明整个系统非常产顺,不像WiFi部分那样差。WAN->LAN的速度我相当满意,如果WiFi部分能做到跟WAN->LAN那样好就完美了!!!

941mbps的Throughput只能说是正常的Gigabit Router表现 只是RouterOs的可玩性比较高 还无法用惊艳的表现来形容这款新的产品 期待厂方进一步调教 Rb750gr3的throughput跟它不相上下 只是没有Wifi

我估计拉脱维亚MikroTik的Engineering Team受到非常大的压力,主要现在WiFi的问题,以前用2.4G WiFi问题没有那么大,但是现在用5G ac(特别是新的ARM IPQ410X CPU),速度动不动就300-500Mbps,以前2.4G的WiFi问题就开始放大。根本不能和其他一般家用的ac brand比!

如果MikroTik能把WiFi这部分搞定的话,那么MikroTik在WiFi方面是一个新的台阶!!!

We need some more information. We cannot reproduce this issue. Testing with MacBook Pro 2016 on distance 10m in an office environment with neighboring APs hAP ac^2 performs stable and reach up to 300 Mbps.

IDK whether there's a cultural difference on representation or what, but the Mikrotik people does sound way up high like they know everything and you don't, so I dont give a damn and stop complaining
