Tried for the very 1st time USB recording. using an old (2009Jan) 8G Transcend (FAT32), simply cleared away all old files, then plug & play, wala! it worked fine!!

I left the USB in the machine overnight, on & off machine, load & standy & off & reload etc, still can replay without any problem.

but... is there only 8 preset recording options? no daily, no weekly cycle etc, is that correct?!

Answer:-
- probably no, 長 standby mode 部機便可以
- 用remote 熄機 = standby mode
- 用手操作熄機身掣 = standby mode
- 連 wall socket power 掣都熄埋 = off mode, it can do nothing then.
