LOC is a path to final approach to be controlled by auto landing system ILS. Not a pilot to control. If it is a manual intercept to final, it is called "visual approach". If an aircraft doesn't have ILS system, use ADF/VOR/DME to intercept final.
G/S is the decent path to be controlled by auto landing system and also not manual control. If manual, it is called final approach decent. If an aircraft doesn't have ILS system, use DME to control step decent if PAPI is NOT visual or NOT available.
In any case of the belong, pilot in command has to control the speed due to real suitable and the aircraft condition, spec and loading. FMC will provide reference or if no FMC, control speed in accordance to wind, decent rate and flaps.
ATC and Airport chart will not advice speed to final approach. |
