考慮裝 freenas 入 ecs liva mini pc kit 64g

想問 freenas 能否設定 usb 碟做儲存?
我已知可以裝入 sd 卡,以便部腦仲可以裝多個 linux
但未知 freenas 本身能否外接 usb 碟
想請教高人解答

freenas唔得未用nas4free,兩個都差唔多
2G同8G ram其實兩樣都得,睇你行咩file system,多O的ram係會快好多ga
USB disk應該無問題,要mount 隻usb disk,但係唔可以好似windows 禁,freenas 唔support plug&play,要unmount左隻usb disk先可以,仲要睇你行咩file system,有O的file system, 不過最好唔好unmount左disk,唔係成個file system無左就hi hi

2G同8G ram其實兩樣都得,睇你行咩file system,多O的ram係會快好多 ...

    當然唔係，如果你用 ZFS 的話，2GB ram 會好大既 performance impact（除非你個 volume size 好細，但而家 d HDD size....），搞唔好既話仲會成日死機，同埋行 ZFS 最好係有 ECC memory

    LIVA 有 4G ram model，如果唔行 ZFS 的話係剛好 meet 到 FreeNAS min. requirement....

你要上網睇下ecc 同non ecc  ram 本身error rate有幾多,如果你個nas係7*24不停工作,heavy loading,就最好要有ecc ram,一般家用nas, heavy loading都係得幾分鐘到個幾鐘頭,使唔使ecc 就睇你自己口袋

    講真，一個 file 就算係錯少少野都死得人，因為 ZFS 大量使用 memory 做 operation（特別係如果有做 compression），寫入果陣錯咗真係幾危險....
