ASK FOR HELP about LSI 8708EM2

Yesterday 8708EM2 arrive my home .......

so that i use my 3 x Seagate 7200.10 250 GB set up a RAID 5

Therefore , run HD TACH , the speed compare with LSI 8308ELP ( same RAID 5 with same HDD mentioned b4 , also same read write policy , therefore , 8308 use 64k strip size , 8708EM2 i set 128k strip size ) make a such different  =_=

Read write policy : 2 card same
IO : Cached IO
READ POLICY : ADAPTIVE READ ahead
Acess Policy : Read - Write
Write policy : Write thuru

Strip Size : ( both card use RAID 5 )
8308 SET 64K
8708 SET 128K

HD TACH result :
Burst Speed : 8308 usually 35x mb sth but 8708 's result is 805 mb
Random access time : 8308 only 14.x ns but 8708 over 20ns
Transfer rate 8308 average 160 mb to 180 mb sth but 8708 only 86 mb

recreate array? Full Init?

JUST I HV BACK UP MY DATA B4 , SO I BREAK THE OLD RAID 5 FROM 8308 and create a new RAID 5 at 8708EM2

but i change the strip size from 64k ( 8308 setting ) to now 128k ( 8708em2 )

so you run the test right after you have created the array?

yup , after install all software

will it be any improvement after run consistency check ?

here is the result from HD TUNE 3.0
8708 EM2 + 3 X Seagate 7200.10 ( 160 gb 單碟 ) @ RAID 5

個人認為除爆發率外 , 一切也比 8308 差 ....... 但 DULL 兄認為 the result resonable 嗎 ?
