I am thinking about buying a HP Chromebook 14 (4AL78UA)

Its product page say:

"2 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DP1.2, HP Sleep and Charge); 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 HP Sleep and Charge); 1 headphone/microphone combo"


Can I buy a USB-C to HDMI adapter to connect the chromebook to the monitor?

Can I buy a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter to connect the chromebook to a DisplayPort Monitor?

理論上副廠出品都冇問題

I am seriously thinking of buying this HP chromebook or Lenovo S330..
   
this HP seems very good, but I might also need to connect the chromebook to a DisplayPort monitor.

do you think a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter would work on this HP chromebook?

一般都係轉成 hdmi 多

估算因為多數用 intel 內顯

內顯一般都只會支援 hdmi 輸出

要轉成 DisplayPort 需要增加額外chip

所以哩類Adapter通常費 d

我覺得支援不成問題

Thank you for your help.

I have two questions:

(1) I read the user manual. There is a USB-C dock station(HP USB-C Dock Y0K80AA) which has a DisplayPort!! I guess a cheap generic USB-c to DisplayPort adapter may also work on the HP. Thanks!!

(2) For watching youtube and mytv super, is a IPS anti-glare WLED-backlit panel better than a TN panel? (HP uses a WLED-backlit panel while the Lenovo uses a TN panel only.)
