是咁的, 有好多問題, 想了解吓...
用開ASUS底板, 今日隻東X硬碟8TB底板話叫我replace & Backup(S.M.A.R.T. Status bad)
但入到NAS睇& check S.M.A.R.T. , 佢話健康&全部ok
我想問, 呢啲情況, 保養受唔受???(仲未過保)
不過唔理, 始㚵都想買隻新.

同埋想問SMR係咩嚟?好嘢定唔好嘢?

SMART DATA有異常, 有D軟件會黃左/ 紅左某行...,
但又會有D SMART 軟件 會當果D小異常係正常沒事..
你底板出得Notice , 就姐係佢發現某D 地方有異常變動...
而hdsentinel 用文字描述... 所以咪叫你用佢睇...

if your agent is zodiac (廣源行), it would be easy. They wont check your hdd smart. As long as there is no "表面損壞" and within warranty, RMA proceeds.
ps. i've no idea about other agents

you should always have back no matter the disk is going to fail or not, don't rely on data recovery, it is much more expensive then buying another disk for backup

it depends
if it's just a bad PCB, the success rate would be higher with PCB and eeprom swap
if it's a bad head, it would need a head swap in a clean air booth or in a clean room, the success rate is high but it is possible to have data loss
if it's a head crash, the treatment is the same as treating bad head, but since the platter is damaged, the success rate depends on how bad the platter is damaged
but no matter what kind of damage, there is no grantee there is no data loss, and the recovery is really pricy, so a backup is always the best way to avoid all those troubles to begin with.
