關於用NAS 儲存，如果想買8TB OT 10TB以上，要行7200RPM，大家覺得邊隻牌子會比較好呢??
上網睇好多人都唔建議買SEGATE HDD，話好易壞，咁應該買邊隻牌子HDD好呢?WD 好嗎??主要係7 X 24
用，要比較靜，大家有冇好推介呢??

Go for Toshiba MG05 8TB. As long as not putting at bed room, the noise level is okay.
I would not go for Seagate and WD coz ... they would produce re-certified hdds. That means we might be getting this kind of "next-to-rubbish" items during RMA. I had one long ago and it was died in just three months of use! If possible, always stay away from re-certified hdds!
ps
I've one T 6TB and three T 8TB, got no 10TB for the time being. And people saying the noise level of T 10TB is higher than the 8TB. Anyway, I may trade-in the 6TB to 10TB sometime later. A bit of noise is not a matter of concern.

手上3隻seagate （12tb exodus, 10tb ironwood, 8tb ironwood）, 隻8tb ironwood
一上nas無一個星期就叫

又係自己用過咩牌子無事就係最好
但WD將會靜雞雞混入SMR硬碟，俾我就一定唔會再選普通WD及Red HDD放入NAS啦
其他仲係PMR硬碟，當然選平及長保既東豬MG05系列

普通就東芝 MG
如果要4KN， 這樣就 WD ULTRASTAR 或 SEAGATE EXOS，下單前查清楚型號名。

如果說相對地冇噉衰，暫時只有WD ULTRASTAR（2019後出） 和 附有 Fastformat 功能的 SEAGATE EXOS

分別在於 QC 。
黑版以前比較可信。目前剩下ULTRASTAR 。
我自己用過昔日綠版，藍版，紅版，舊版普通SEAGATE硬碟，上兩批的SEAGATE NM （新版叫EXOS，留意那些型號尾號有A字或標明有fastformat功能的，別買錯）

問題係你有無用過哂咁多牌子及型號？如無只用自己見過既就話"最"好，就唔夠中肯！
所以最好都係睇多D唔同測試網站既比較，再自己衡量性能及價錢

SEAGATE 稱自己 好過對方. 但我想沒有太大分別. 據知8TB WD和SEAGATE幾乎同價.
如果你要快支援, SEAGATE可能是你的選擇. 小心, 如果你想玩4KN的話,別買錯舊型號 . 香港好多賣緊舊型號, 我自己逐步由 512E 改為 4KN , 主因是新野好少用舊野.

WD 比 Toshiba 貴少少, 我上年六月, 差不多同時間買左一隻 WD 同一隻 Toshiba Enterprise 既 8TB. WD 果隻早半個月買, 後尾見 Toshiba 平二百五, 就買多隻備份.
最近兩三個月, Toshiba 果隻開始間中有問題, 家陣死得好密. 早知唔慳果兩舊幾水.
不過, 都可能我係黑仔, 買 HD 好多時都係撞手神, 之前 WD 3TB 既年代, 都試過一買番黎就壞既, 7 日內去珍寶換番.

遇事不決,每面一隻,邊隻牌子都有機會某一批次出問題,除非價錢（好似WD red pro咁,個價離晒地）或者AFR相差太大（比如Seagate Barracuda DM系列）,一般而言分散風險避免攬炒係上策

Plenty of Seagate and WD fans out there. It seems nobody cares about receiving re-certified (翻修) hdds during RMA. Or people just throw away the failure hdd and buy a new one, as such, RMA/warranty is not required.

Re-certified hdd is a consideration, but not the only matter, nor the most important matter. Choosing the brand/model which has a lower AFR to start with (such as Ultrastar) could be a valid option as the AFR could be <1%. After-all, when we are talking about 99% of time we don't need the warranty service, receiving re-certified units from RMA (even factoring the cost of buying a new unit to replace the re-certified unit in such circumstance) is not a really big deal.
Depending on the "value" of your time, reducing the chance of going through the RMA process may have a better value to you, rather than considering the longer expected lifespan of getting a brand new replacement unit from RMA.
As a side note, I have got two re-certified hdds got replaced years ago and still doing fine. Not meant to say re-certified hdds are good, but from my experience, both new hdds and re-certified ones could, and WILL eventually fail.

一次買幾隻同牌子同型號，咁好大可能會係同一批次出，返到去又係一齊做差唔多既野，即係話係孖胎出世又一直一齊，咁其中一個開始死另一隻都差唔多要一齊去，話曬都係出世之後就一直嚮埋一齊嘛……
自己會係唔同區唔同鋪買同一個牌子兼型號既HDD，始終單純分店唔同都有可能會調貨，唔同區唔同鋪咁機會就少D
不過HDD都真係睇手神，黑起上黎上機無一個禮拜就去咗都唔奇……
而家買HDD齋係買WD，其他同我八字唔合，好多時買返黎都無耐就歸西

該是以前的事。
目前ＷＤ和ＳＥＡＧＡＴＥ推出的新一批硬碟價錢，我指商用，已經類似初時推出的價格。當然，５１２Ｅ（保留４ＫＮ模式）版本比５１２Ｎ低廉太過多。 １ＴＢ仍然是６５０港元。 但８ＴＢ價錢已經是14００港元 (JUMBO報價, 當然是7K8 新版, 即HC320) ! 我自己後來看一些東西知道, HUS728T8TALE6L4 是可以選擇操作模式, 遠比已知型號好太多, 僅次於SEAGATE EXOS新版, ST8000NM000A
當然, 如果你不肯定就直用, 預設是512E, 弄這一個的原因是4KN不太好賣. 想快趣清走批貨賣HAMR或MAMR.
