IPAD WIFI只有樓上講既假LOCATION SERVICE, 以前有POST分別講過, 而呢個SERVICE, 絕對唔係叫AGPS

GPS=傳統GPS定位
AGPS=ASSISTED GPS=基站定位+傳統GPS定位
IPAD WIFI係冇GPS, 佢定到位係因為可以用WIFI既基站定位
IPAD 3G有AGPS, 即係基站定位又得, 傳統又得
Hybrid positioning systems use a combination of network-based and handset-based technologies for location determination. One example would be some modes of Assisted GPS, which can both GPS and network information to compute the location (although in most A-GPS systems all computations are done by the handset, and the network is only used to initially acquire and use the GPS satellites).

IPAD WIFI 用既係WPS, 亦都係點解有O的人用IPAD WIFI定位會無LALA定到去其他國家(因為個DB唔係REALTIME UPDATE)
Limitations: WPS does not work when out of range of Wi-Fi signals, and the Wi-Fi hotspots database must be constantly updated to keep up with Wi-Fi hotspot changes.

APPLE係LOCATION SERVICE寫左4種出黎
WIFI即係WPS
DIGITAL CAMPASS, 例子: 指南針O的APP
AGPS, 有REMARK係3G先會有
Cellular, 手機基站定位, 因為WIFI冇SIM SLOT亦冇接收器, 所以又係得3G有
Location

Wi-Fi
Digital compass
Assisted GPS (Wi-Fi + 3G model)
Cellular (Wi-Fi + 3G model)
所以, 最起碼, IPAD WIFI係冇AGPS呢件事, 係肯定的

你可以試下其他地方既AP睇下WORK唔WORK
不過, WPS唔係一定WORK既野黎, 真係要玩定位, 買IPAD 3G最實際

AGPS主耍用電訊網絡收星曆資料(Almanac)然後定位,相對比GPS去衛星收星曆,之後先定位時間短.
