真希望所有因為不能團購 archos 70/101 者 可以停止唱衰行為, 因有更多新手想那部機的真正好壞. 如果你們真的買了機而覺得有問題, 可以講, 但又冇機, 又中傷又唱衰真是不要得, 兼十分幼稚!!我都是看不過眼...

先裝gapps4archos(http://www.umpcfever.com/news/?postid=4011), Google 軟件集 for Archos
然後裝: appbrain and 機峄市場(www.androidin.net)
全部都可以找到
建議:
1)改回正常wall paper
2)取消所有動畫
3)dolphin HD cache to sd
4)開機用advance task killer , kill all app
5)輸入法用:cedime
6)安裝小工具(電源控制) , 常關wifi, bluetooth,同步
7)電可用大約(6-7小時)上網+看書+看漫畫
8)jjcomic 好用過 ACV

我部moto XT701, 可以行150min 1000max(超1G後+setcpu)

其實256ROM 都OK 夠用.
但如果可以app2sd , 就所有問題都冇啦. 裝1-2百個app 都OK啦..
我部XT701都可以app2sd, 勁入apps
現在D apps 大約 幾百K 至 幾M.

yes, but 2.1 +app2sd can install all apps in external sd card. wait for someone root and make app2sd for archos 70.
2.2 can install in Sd card that depends the app itself.

Thanks a lot c hing..btw, can Archos edit or preview pdf and ppt files? Some people said Archos 101 cannot open jpg, play mp4 or rmvb.. is there any trick? Is Archos very hard to configure to play games and movie.. please advise.. thanks.

算啦, 一分錢一分貨, HKD2180 半部 Galaxy S 都買吾到. 可以要求咁多咩!!!

有時好難講...而家就話幾 MB, 但難保越來越多 3D 勁 Apps 去到 50MB, 甚至更高...
到時裝一兩個勁 Apps 就唔夠位
不過 2.2 可解決就不是問題啦

documents to go can edit Doc, Excel, can view pdf and ppt, but never try to edit pdf and ppt.
Archos 70 can view Jpg, mp4, and rockplayer(app) can view rmvb.
For Game, don't expect too much and you can try CALIGOCHASER and montezuma2

can only install in 256m Rom now, internal 8G and external SD card can only storage data
after rooted and app2sd , you can install in SD card

How to root the device? Can we restore it back to factory mode after rooted? If desided not to root, is that most of the apps cannot be install or not work? Please advise.

現在應該不能 root, 因大貨都未有. 未有高手寫, 我都等緊!!!
現在只能裝在256Rom 內,
其實部機不是太適合玩Action Game.
因mom(7") 大, 但 resolution 太低(800X480)
控制不易
但那機最合適上網 ,看漫畫 和看電子書!!

不嬲裝 apps 都係裝係 rom, 所以就算頂級機, desire 都俾人插, 因為 rom 太少, 得 1xx mb, 但係 i9000 有 1.8g

Tried on A70 with Sony MW600, both work. A little problem is there will be a very short pause when the A70 is waken up by the power button.

Yes, you are right, but feeling is chicken and egg.. ipad cannot play flash and rmvb anyway, right? But Archos give us a hope.. besides is the usb, etc external connection. Because I hate itune..
If base on configure and future expension, so which one will be better? Honestly, I most more prefer 101, but 15..16...
