64Bit, Multi-Core Handling API, OpenCL......
這3樣已經唔係service pack可以做到的了......
有見過Windows說Service Pack是Update Notepad去64Bit嗎?(我認我是亂來的............

今次個core改得幾徹底, completely x64 based + open CL

呢排apple野多數fine tune, 執D仔細野多...

我喺屋企一直用緊第一代Intel同OS 10.4, 覺得最緊要冇問題, 順. 所以一直都冇UPGRADE去10.5.
不過今次SNOW leopard 好似主力fine tune同埋速度有所提升,又好似吸引, 唔知我部intel 機upgrade到SNOW leopard 速度會唔會快d?

DirectX 11 is going to have computing shaders for utilizing the GPU for general purpose tasks. We're already seeing prototype cards with DirectX 11 support. Where are the OpenCL cards? And DirectX 11 will run not only on Windows 7 but also on Vista. Free of charge.
Vista SP1 completely replaced the kernel with the one from Windows Server 2008, just to name one of the many changes Microsoft are giving to their users for free in their recent service packs.

有d Software 由10.4 to 10.5 明顯地慢左, e.g. Logic Pro, Mainstage ...
而Windows 7 個UI 都幾唔同, 要時間去習慣, 不過好左好多...
其實好難話完全轉去邊個OS, e.g. 睇譜軟件...

正常來說(假設一部機使用3年,之後會換新機),除非你要追新軟件,如不是的話,一般情況都不會轉OS(在不改動內部硬件的情況下,就算能使用都不會有好效果).所以Update新OS的要求是不是那麼需要,還只是人有我有?
但如果近一兩年才買機的話,加二百幾換OS ,對我來說就會覺得好底!
至於Windows方面,如使用正版的話(多數應是只買OEM版本),我想大部份人基本上直到部機死都不會換OS,而不會用舊機,洗千幾來元來換新OS吧!

老實地說! 我覺得在一般用家使用下 OSX 會好過> Win XP >Vista .(Win 7 未出不計算)
當然, 如全以Windows Base為出發點, 就會是 Win 好過 OSX了(例如Movie支援格式, 遊戲, 特別用途的小軟件等)
